Cocotte (koh-kot) is the creation of Japanese-born chef Shunichi Tanabe, who with his wife and their children made the Gold Coast their home for many years. As the name suggests, it is a casserole of cuisine and culture served amid the enticing aromas of an open kitchen. Cocotte's casual ambience has been infused with a friendly warmth from its conception. The unique dining experience is perfectly symbolised by a trio of different coloured cocottes hand drawn by Shunichi's daughter.
